Spidertech tape is pre-cut and packaged kinesiology tape. It has many different pre-cut applications such as the knee, shoulder, neck and many others.
There are 3 main reasons to use spidertech taping:
- Pain reduction - The is a result of neurological mechanisms that lead to decrease in the perception of pain
- Prevention - Stabilizes joint while allowing controlled movement within pain free range of motion
- Performance - Helps decrease any repetitive strain trauma, muscle fatigue and muscle cramping during activity
This tape is applied to the specific area and is kept on for approximately 3 to 5 days. It is water resistant, so showering is not a problem. There are 4 different colors of tape blue, red, tan and black. Although kinesiology tape has been around for 30 years, spidertech has only been available for almost a year.
